Gacha Codex Editorial

Gacha Codex publishes tier lists, banner-pull-value calls, team comps and farming routes for the twenty biggest gacha and mobile games, for players who want the answer before they spend the currency.

Mission

We cover 20 games (Genshin Impact, Pokémon GO, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, Wuthering Waves, Fate/Grand Order, Pokémon TCG Pocket, Arknights, hololive Dreams, Dragon Ball Legends, Neverness to Everness, Love and Deepspace, Arknights: Endfield, SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL, DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE, Clash of Critters, Summoners War, Onmyoji, HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!) and each is its own shelf, not a tag stapled onto a generic archive.

We deliberately do not publish patch-day hype, sponsored tier lists, or a summary of what a press kit already said. A gacha game's real questions ("is this banner worth the currency," "which unit clears this specific wall," "what changed since last patch") come from players, not marketing, and that is where every guide starts.

Methodology

  • We start from what players are actually searching for: tier lists, banner calls, team comps, the questions typed into a search box, not the ones a press kit answers.
  • We find the gameplay footage and official pages that answer it, and cut them down to the useful minutes rather than sending a reader through a forty-minute video for one number.
  • Every claim is checked against the game's own patch notes before a guide ships, and every screenshot is credited to the channel it was cut from.
  • A guide names the game version it was written against, shown on the guide itself. When that version stops being current, the guide is revised or its version stamp is left standing so the reader can see how old the advice is. Every revision shows up on the updates page.

Editorial standards

  • A number carries its conditions. A tier ranking is worth nothing without the patch and the roster it assumes; a pull-value call is worth nothing without the banner it was measured against.
  • A guide says what it is uncertain about rather than presenting a guess as settled fact.
  • No affiliate links and no paid placements. If that ever changes, it is disclosed on this page before it appears in a guide.
  • Corrections are made in the guide itself, dated on the updates page, not quietly edited away.

Contact

Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us: if a guide is wrong or has gone stale against a patch, tell us which guide and which patch and we will fix or re-stamp it. Write to hello@gachacodex.com, it is read by the people who write the guides, not a support queue.
