Version 1.3 brings new story content, Zankou and Linko as S-Class characters, a large new district (Duskmoor), permanent and seasonal summer modes, new vehicles and property, plus several quality-of-life improvements. For most players, this is a significant content update and recommended to install unless waiting for mid-version additions. Some details, event windows, and quality-of-life features may still change before launch.

Fogden Game

steps

  1. New main story chapter: The Fogden Game is the main story addition for Version 1.3. To begin, you must finish "Fighting with a Dragon" first.
  2. Story rewind: The story resumes just after the Appraiser escapes the Corridor of Echoes, drawing in Eibon, the Bureau, The Scarlet Letter, Hathor, and the Appraiser as the main factions.
  3. Setup and conflict: The Scarlet Letter has seized anomalies relating to the Past, Present, and Future, aiming at a bigger plot involving the rules of the Game and the Fogden itself — their hunting ground.
  4. Rules of the Game: Entering the Fogden pits the player against wave after wave of enemies under the Game's rules.
  5. Final arc: The chapter builds toward a showdown with Madam T. Key allied characters include Hathor and Bureau members Chaos, Linko, and Nanally.

Zankou

Zankou is the first limited S-Class character in Version 1.3, available during the first half following the update. Obtaining her unlocks the Red Nightshade outfit for free. Her kit focuses on switching between Reality and Illusion states, each with its own attack pattern and skill modifiers. Reality uses Cursed Blade swings and Hunt for damage boosts; Illusion applies Heartwrench DoT and spreads it with each hit, ending in AoE with her ultimate. Redirect Skills switch between states and trigger stronger effects as the cycle completes. Zankou's open-world trait lets her turn invisible, preventing enemies from spotting her.

For interactions in Version 1.3, the real Zankou is not present in Hethereau, so her Encounters and City Hangouts are not available. Players can raise Obsession and unlock Ride-Along, Little Sparrow, Move-In, and a Battle duel interaction with her phantom.

Linko

Linko debuts in the second half of Version 1.3 as an S-Class character partnered with Xiaozhen. Her Esper Ability, Telepathy, lets her sync with teammates to channel strength and control. In city traversal, syncing with Xiaozhen allows slingshot movement using ghost arms.

In combat, Linko uses Synced Strike as a Support Skill, called in by Xiaozhen or a teammate. The Full-Frequency Pulse Redirect Skill brings up a Radial Menu so players can choose who launches the Synced Strike. Modulation gauge built from attacks boosts strike damage and empowers attacks by chosen teammates. Oversync, her ultimate, lets her sync with up to 3 teammates, firing multiple strikes in sequence and adding AoE burst. Passive skills change damage and resistance-reduction interactions. Her Ride-Along, Little Sparrow, and Move-In interactions are available after unlock.

Duskmoor

steps

  1. District location: Duskmoor is a new district in northwest Hethereau, previously under construction, now opening with Version 1.3.
  2. Features and theme: Duskmoor includes scenic areas, the Starfall Bay Resort, and Tearlake open waters. Its roads form a highway loop designed for driving and racing, with a full lap taking significant time.
  3. Driving and exploration: Oracle Stones are collected directly from the driver's seat, and the area is built for a full driving experience.
  4. Challenges and racing: With loop rally circuits, elevation changes, and racing teams, Duskmoor offers a new blend of city exploration, racing, and vehicle-based events.

Volley Star and the summer beach activities

steps

  1. Beach volleyball mode: Volley Star launches as a permanent Hethereau Hobbies mode and as a summer event, running 2v2 matches (one player-controlled, one AI partner).
  2. Progression: Players start in Rookie Series, climb through PvE matches, and unlock higher difficulties by defeating opponents. Scoring comes from rallies, landed balls, and forcing weak receives.
  3. Stat growth: Each character grows through Serve, Spike, Set, Receive, Block, and Dig, and Talent Bread can push a stat past its normal cap. Both main and partner characters earn EXP.
  4. Weekly Match: This is a PvE tournament of up to 5 matches, with one loss ending the run. Placement awards Fons, Talent Bread, and points toward Hethereau volleyball rankings.
  5. Additional summer content: Shipwreck Salvage lets players collect and upgrade their jet ski; speedboat racing routes are unlocked across city water bodies. The Tide debuts as the first water vehicle, with the Sirocco and the Yesteryear bicycle (for two) also added.
