Neverness to Everness Hotori Guide: Build and Teams

Learn how Hotori’s record-and-replay kit works, which Arc and set to run, which awakenings matter most, and how to fit her into blossom or raw-damage teams.

6 min read

Hotori records her teammates’ skills using her support skill, then replays them when she activates her ultimate. For her build, focus on ultimate damage, aim for Crit Rate main stat with the Lost Radiant set, and fit her into blossom or strong burst teams where extra skill replays matter most.

steps

  1. Use Hotori’s skill: This records one support or redirect skill per teammate for around five seconds, indicated by her ultimate gauge ticking down.
  2. Trigger teammate skills: Time their skills during her recording window so they are stored for replay.
  3. Activate Hotori’s ultimate: This replays the recorded teammate skills, freezes time, and lets you perform basics to fill a second gauge for her finisher.
  4. Spam basics during time stop: You have ten seconds to fill her secondary gauge; two full attack strings are possible.
  5. Finish with her ultimate: Most of her damage lands here, and any holding or charge-based skills recorded become tap-style replays.

Signature Arc

comparison

Signature Arc (March Beyond Time)

  • Best option for Hotori, especially when using her normal pattern of skill, triggering three teammate skills, then ultimate.
  • Fully rewards hitting multiple skill replays.

Battle Pass Arc (Fluff of Fearlessness)

  • About 84–92% of the performance of the signature Arc, depending on mix level.
  • Second-best if you aren’t aiming for the signature.

Cheap Option (Rain That Shook the World)

  • Usable if spending much less, but not close enough to the signature to be the main investment if you can afford more.
  • If resources allow, aim for the signature Arc.

Lost Radiant set and stats

prerequisites

  • Farm and use the Lost Radiant set.
  • Prioritize Crit Rate main stat. Cosmo percent, Crit Damage, and Attack percent are also close in value.
  • Cycle intensity is okay if you lack better main stats.
  • For substats: focus on double crit, Attack percent, and bonus damage.
  • If running a blossom team, the MC (main character) can build cycle intensity so Hotori stays focused on her own damage stats.

Awakenings

Which awakenings to choose

  • Awakening 1: Clean damage increase if you are recording skills with Hotori.
  • Awakening 2: Slightly less damage than Awakening 1, but does not require skill recording.
  • Awakening 3: Improves speed and sometimes allows an extra ultimate by refunding skill energy on a timer. Comfort pick for rotations.
  • Awakening 4: Energy on kill. Especially useful for daily farming or mob content.
  • Awakening 5: Single-target team damage against bosses.
  • Awakening 6: Ignores part of enemy defense during time stop and grants a full team attack buff through resident skills.
  • Priority: Start with Awakening 3 for rotation quality-of-life if unsure. Awakening 1 is a strong early damage pick. Awakening 4 is for farming, while 5 and 6 are boss-oriented upgrades.

Teams

Blossom teams are Hotori’s natural fit, since her passive lets blossom damage hit during her time-stop ultimate. MC, Natalie, and Jiuyuan are strong blossom partners, with MC especially benefiting from Hotori’s replay. For blossom setups, build MC for cycle intensity and run a cycle-focused console, leaving Hotori free to focus on damage stats. Mint, Hathor, and Sekhmet can substitute for missing core units.

Hotori also works in raw-damage teams. Pair her with Hathor, Nanally, and Sekhmet, where Hotori makes Hathor’s feathers reliable and Nanally brings a strong burst. If you’re missing the pure blossom core, these teams are still effective. Hotori enables extra skill uses and strong burst phases in both team styles.

Also worth knowing

  • Ultimate energy from Charged: In live, Hotori does not gain ultimate energy from Charged, even though this mechanic showed up in test builds.
  • Buff and timer tracking: You can enable the combat status bar in Phone Settings to make it easier to track active buffs and timers when testing Hotori.
